Vice-President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill

Visits Local Democrat's Daughter

at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center

Without a press pool present, Vice-President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland on Christmas Day last year.  It was informally reported the Bidens have quietly visited the medical center every Christmas Day since President Barack Obama has taken office.  On this past Christmas visit, the Bidens spent about 15 minutes with Robert and Carol Hirsch's daughter, Christi, who is undergoing treatments after complications from cancer surgery.  The Hirschs live in Walton County, but are very active Democrats in Okaloosa County.  In fact, Bob writes frequently to the Northwest Florida Daily New Letter to the Editor.  Regular prayers for Christi and her family are encouraged.
