For planning purposes, the
2016 DNC Presidential Election Convention will be held on July 25 thru 28, 2016 at the Wells Fargo Center in
Philadelphia, PA. There are opportunities for at least 20 delegates eligible
to participate in the National Democratic Party Primary Process at the convention.

Unless there's a local Democratic Party candidate
on the ballot, the race for Sheriff, Clerk of Court and Comptroller, County Commissioners, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector,
Supervisor of Elections, Superintendent of Schools and School Board will be decided in the Primary Election,
which is also commonly referred to as an Universal (Open) Primary. In other words, all registered voters in Okaloosa
County will be allowed to vote for a local candidate regardless of their political party affiliation.
