Memorial
Day Ceremony Paying Homage to Deceased Veterans Two Okaloosa Democrats and Veterans,
Jerry Mallory (L) and Michael Barnes (R), participated in the Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 31, 2010 at Beal Parkway
Cemetery. The ceremony hosted by the Disabled American Veterans (Playground Chapter #72). This was the
first time the Okaloosa Democrats participated in the event. During the ceremony, they laid a wreath in memory
of all local Democratic Party veterans who expired since Veteran's Day 2009.

On Sat. March 13, local Democrats and their guests met at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville for a special
dinner celebrating the legacy of two American icons – President John F. Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr. The highly successful event was sponsored by the Okaloosa County Democratic Executive Committee
and supported by the Okaloosa Democrats Club and the OK County Democratic Women’s Club.
